Lip Blush Aftercare Instructions
Please follow these steps carefully to ensure the best healing results.

Day 1: Immediately After the Procedure
-
Gently blot lips every 15–30 minutes with a clean tissue to absorb lymph fluid.
-
Apply a thin layer of Aquaphor every few hours to keep lips moisturized.
-
After eating, gently wash lips with antibacterial soap, pat dry, and reapply Aquaphor.
→ This prevents buildup of food particles and bacteria, which can cause infection or poor healing. -
If swelling occurs, apply a clean cold compress or ice pack (wrapped in a paper towel) for 5–10 minutes as needed.
-
Avoid touching lips with unwashed hands.
Days 2–5: Peeling Phase
-
Lips will darken, then begin to peel — this is normal.
-
Do NOT pick, rub, or peel flaking skin — this can lead to scarring and pigment loss.
-
Keep lips moisturized with Aquaphor.
-
Avoid seafood for at least 5 days (to reduce risk of allergic reaction while healing).
-
Avoid spicy, salty, and acidic foods.
-
Use a straw when drinking.
-
No kissing or lip-to-lip contact.
-
No makeup or skincare on the lips.
Days 6–10: Healing Continues
-
Lips may look patchy or faded — this is temporary. Final color will settle gradually.
-
Continue applying Aquaphor as needed.
-
Avoid sun exposure, swimming, saunas, and sweating.
DO:
-
Use a clean pillowcase.
-
Drink through a straw.
-
Clean lips after meals with antibacterial soap, pat dry, and reapply Aquaphor.
→ This prevents buildup and bacteria, which can delay healing or cause infection. -
Use ice (wrapped) to soothe swelling if needed.
AVOID:
-
Picking or peeling skin.
-
Seafood (for at least 5 days).
-
Touching lips with unwashed hands.
-
Sun, heat, or tanning beds.
-
Alcohol and caffeine for 24 hours (they can increase swelling or bleeding).
